Join Music Director, Dr. Erik Janners, and the Knightwind Ensemble on Sunday, April 14 at 3:00pm for A Renaissance Faire, a program of Renaissance-era music for the modern wind orchestra. The featured work is composer Bob Margolis’ “Terpsichore,” a collection of Renaissance dances originally written by the composer Michael Praetorius and arranged for the modern band by Margolis. Also included are Gordon Jacob’s “William Byrd Suite,” Norman Dello Joio’s “Variants on a Mediaeval Tune,” and a recorder quartet featured as a part of Jan Van der Roost’s epic “Poeme Montagnard.”
