Two of the area's best quarterbacks squared off in the high school football season opener Friday, but only South Milwaukee's Sam Oliden walked away with the victory. He threw for two TDs and rush for two more as the Rockets defeated visiting New Berlin West, 27-13.
Franklin earned its second consecutive trip to state by defeating South Milwaukee, 4-3, on Sunday. The Sabers will face New Berlin West in the quarterfinals.(6)
