Cudahy Mayor Ryan McCue Outsourcing His Job Duties
That is a powerful headline is it? Some may read the headline and say, “Randy, the Mayor should be delegating job duties!”
By just looking at that of a Manager’s job is delegation and Mayor McCue isn’t doing anything wrong, are missing big parts of it!
The hiring of the economic director is a good thing. Even I agree with that. The cost of her salary and all of the money spent on the position still has the jury out.
Why was the job position created in the first place? I was told because Lara has a specific skill set that the Mayor McCue just doesn’t have. Don’t you want the right person in the right job?
That really begs the question of, “Is Mayor McCue not the right person then?”
Previous Cudahy Mayors have been the ‘Economic Director” and the best salesman for
Maybe the problem is with Mayor McCue’s leadership style is it may be a carryover from the County ways of do the least amount of work, get as many people to do your work for you and show up at work just enough to be seen.
So, okay the city created the position and hired Lara.
I was told be a few department heads that McCue is now dumping on them job duties that normally the Mayor has done in the past. One person said that they fear for their jobs so they do it! Another city person told me that it only makes sense for some of those job duties to be done be the department heads as they understand their department best!
So what is McCue doing as Mayor for us “The People”. Please McCue supporters instead of trying to personally attack me, calling me school kids names, sending me comments or emails that don’t make much sense and seem like a middle schooler wrote, and those that just have no clue but blindly like McCue, please tell ‘US’ what has he done?
Mayor McCue’s State of the City address was a “pseudo-event”.
It was not spontaneous but planned for the purpose of being reported and attended as an event that is important because someone says so, not because it is. But Randy you have been calling for this meeting and took Mayor McCue to the carpet for not doing it soon enough.
If it was done for the real reasons instead of deflection and misdirection to not living up to any of his campaign promises or self preservation to try and help setup his campaign run as Mayor in 2010. What steps he has taken to "deliver on what he promised" during the campaign of 2007?
Don’t forget that Mayor McCue just took down his web page with his list of promises in hopes that you forget what they were and those running against him could not use them against himself.
What happened to McCue the reformer? What happen to the McCue that was a hard working Alderman that listened to his constitutes?
