What IS it about cured pork? Just looking at this (unless you’re a PETA weirdo) will set your mouth to water:
It’s generally my first choice as a breakfast meat. Kyla has been known to ask for, and finish, seconds at the Disney Princess character breakfast at Cinderella’s castle. Seconds as in, an entire plate. I’m not kidding. And Kevin? Well let’s just say that if he were ever to venture in to a Yankee Candle store, there is probably only one scent he’d actually purchase…
Generally speaking, food prices are out of control. Even for our very small family of three, it is unbelievable how much we spend on groceries for just one week. We don’t eat high on the hog (bad pun intended) and still it’s a small fortune to feed us. But rising prices can’t (and won’t!) stop us bacon lovers.
There are as many bacon-related items for purchase as there are bacon lovers in the world. I see nothing wrong with that. And now, there’s another item to add to your list if you’re crazy about those salty crispy strips: Bacon jerky. Nope, I’m totally serious. Bacon jerky.
Personally, I don’t see a drawback to another item in the bacon family. “Portable, any-time” bacon? You guessed it: a Culinary Yes Yes!
