The Barking Lot-America's Finest Dog Blog (07/05/14)

The Barking Lot

The Barking Lot is a regular weekly feature of This Just In…Written by my lovely wife, Jennifer and me.  It opens with the weekend dog walking forecast followed by the main blog from dog lover, Jennifer. Then it’s DOGS IN THE NEWS and our close. Enjoy!

THE WEEKEND DOG-WALKING FORECAST: We grade the weather outlook for taking your pet outdoors.

TODAY:  Partly cloudy. High of 78. "A"

SUNDAY:  Isolated thunderstorms. High of 82. "B"

Here’s my lovely wife, Jennifer with this week’s main blog:

Hope you’re enjoying the Independence Day weekend!

BTW, we were at the lakefront Thursday night to see the amazing, nearly-hour long fireworks display and nearby dogs were very well-behaved, not the least bit frightened. Good for them!

People love lists. They just seem to have a natural curiosity when they read a headline that says, for example, “10 BEST WAYS TO HAVE YOUR HUSBAND CLEAN THE HOUSE AND THEN THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY.”

OK, I’ve never, ever seen that one. Otherwise I’d have tried it years ago. But you get the point.

About a month ago, the folks at vetstreet.com came up with interesting compilation. That was right about the time graduations were taking place and students were voted “Most Likely to Achieve” and more.

Vetstreet.com thought similar awards could be handed out to dog breeds and surveyed 267 pet professionals.

What breed is the biggest flirt? That and more in this listing of the Class of 2014 Best Dog Breeds.
Enjoy!
